About Our Assessments

What a Global Education Testing assessment is

A Global Education Testing assessment is a comprehensive psychoeducational evaluation: a structured, multi-dimensional examination of how a student learns, thinks, and functions, conducted remotely by an HCPC-registered educational psychologist and produced to the documentation standards of the major international examination boards.

It is built to do two things at once. It identifies the specific profile behind an academic difficulty, whether dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, ADHD, autism, or a combination of co-occurring presentations, and it produces the evidence required to secure exam access arrangements, classroom accommodations, and targeted support.

We founded the service in 2019 to bring that standard of assessment to internationally mobile families, who too often face a choice between long public waiting lists and assessments that aren’t recognised across the borders their children move between.

The standard we work to

Credibility in this field is not a claim, it is a set of verifiable standards. Every assessment we deliver meets all of them.

Our psychologists are HCPC-registered. Registration with the UK Health and Care Professions Council is the statutory benchmark for practitioner psychologists, requiring an approved doctoral qualification, demonstrated competence, ongoing professional development, and adherence to a published ethical framework.

It is recognised internationally as a mark of rigour. We also work with psychologists registered in Australia, South Africa, and the United States.

Our diagnoses are documented to DSM-5-TR criteria with corresponding ICD-11 codes, the current international classifications used by schools, examination boards, and medical professionals worldwide.

Our reports meet and exceed the documentation requirements of the International Baccalaureate, Cambridge International, Pearson Edexcel, and College Board, and are accepted by universities worldwide, including those with the most selective entry and specialised entrance examinations.

So funktioniert die Bewertung

The value of a comprehensive assessment lies in integration. Rather than looking at any one area in isolation, we examine the student through several lenses at once, standardised cognitive and academic testing, performance-based and observer-rated measures of attention, structured developmental interview, and direct clinical observation, and identify the pattern that explains the difficulty.

That integration is what lets us answer the question parents and schools actually have, which is not only was a student struggles with but warum. It is what distinguishes a genuine learning difference from the natural challenges of multilingual education, and a specific learning difficulty from an attention difficulty, an executive function weakness, or an emotional factor such as anxiety. A label on its own changes nothing. An accurate understanding of the underlying profile is what makes targeted support possible.

Each battery is built around the individual student rather than applied as a fixed set of tests, drawing on established, current-edition instruments selected to match the referral question.

Why remote, and why international

Conducting assessments by secure video link is not a compromise, it is what makes a genuinely international service possible. It removes the cost and delay of flying in an external psychologist, allows a student to be assessed in any time zone, and means the same psychologist can work with families across continents to a single consistent standard.

Our psychologists understand the international school context: the demands of different curricula and exam boards, the realities of multilingual learners, and the documentation requirements that follow a student as they move between systems. Testing is conducted in English, but our psychologists use real-time translation during parent consultations and feedback meetings, so families can discuss findings in their first language without anything being lost.

What this means for your child

Once the specific profile is identified, the report does not stop at a diagnosis. It sets out practical recommendations: exam access arrangements written to each board’s evidence requirements, day-to-day classroom strategies teachers can implement, and guidance for support at home. Where appropriate, this forms the basis of an individual learning plan.

There is no cure for conditions such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, or dyspraxia, and we never pretend otherwise. What there is, and what a good assessment unlocks, is a set of proven strategies and accommodations that change a student’s experience of learning, now and for the rest of their education.
