1. Who we are
Global Education Testing is a psychoeducational assessment service. Assessments are conducted by registered educational psychologists.
The service is provided by Global IQ Services Pte Ltd, a company incorporated in Singapore, trading as Global Education Testing (“we”, “our”, “us”). Global IQ Services Pte Ltd is the data controller responsible for your personal data.
This policy explains what personal data we collect through our website and our assessment service, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you hold over it.
2. The law we work to
We are established in Singapore and comply with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
We provide services to families Worldwide. Where we process the personal data of individuals in the UK and the EEA, we also apply the standards of the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (together, “GDPR”).
Most of the data we handle concerns health. We treat that data as sensitive throughout, whichever framework applies.
3. The personal data we collect
We collect the following categories of personal data.
Enquiry and contact data. Your name, email address, telephone number, country of residence, the name and age of the child an enquiry concerns, and the content of any message you send us.
Assessment and health data. This is the core of what we hold. It includes the referral reason, developmental and educational history, information you or a school provide about a child’s learning, the responses and scores generated during assessment using standardised cognitive, attainment, attention and questionnaire-based instruments, and the clinical report we produce. Where clinically indicated, this includes assessment of specific learning differences and, where offered, autism spectrum conditions, with formulations and any diagnoses recorded to DSM-5-TR and ICD-11. This data falls within the category the GDPR calls special category data concerning health.
Technical and usage data. Your IP address, device and browser type, and how you interact with our website, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
Where we collect data about a child, that data is usually provided by a parent or guardian acting on the child’s behalf, or by a school that you have authorised to share information with us.
4. How and why we use your data
We use your personal data for the purposes below. For each purpose we set out the lawful basis under the GDPR. Under the PDPA, we rely on your consent, on deemed consent where you provide data for an obvious purpose, and on the legitimate interests and business improvement exceptions where they apply. This policy discharges our obligation to notify you of the purposes for which we collect, use and disclose your data.
Responding to enquiries and providing information about the service. Basis: our legitimate interest in answering you, and taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
Scheduling and delivering the assessment. Basis: performance of our contract with you.
Conducting the assessment and producing the report. This involves processing health data. Special category basis: processing necessary for the provision of health care and medical diagnosis by, or under the responsibility of, a professional bound by a duty of confidentiality (GDPR Article 9(2)(h)), supported by your explicit consent (Article 9(2)(a)). General basis: performance of our contract and your consent.
Submitting a report to an awarding board or a school in support of access arrangements. We do this only when you instruct us to. Basis: performance of our contract and your consent.
Taking payment and keeping financial records. Basis: legal obligation and our legitimate interest in running the business.
Maintaining security, preventing fraud, and improving the service using aggregated data. Basis: our legitimate interests.
Meeting safeguarding, legal and professional obligations, including where a child or another person may be at risk of harm. Basis: legal obligation, protection of vital interests, and the safeguarding and substantial public interest conditions for special category data.
We do not use assessment or health data for marketing or advertising.
5. Who we share your data with
The assigned educational psychologist. A psychologist is assigned after scheduling and payment.
Awarding and examination boards. Where you ask us to submit a report in support of access arrangements, we share it with the relevant board, which may include the International Baccalaureate, Cambridge International, Pearson Edexcel, AQA Oxford International or the College Board. We share reports only at your request.
Schools. Where you direct us to share a report or correspond with a named school, we do so on your instruction.
Service providers acting on our behalf. These process data only on our instructions and under contract. They include a secure video platform for delivering assessments, a payment provider, website hosting, email and client-management systems, and scheduling tools.
Legal and professional disclosures. We may disclose data where required by law, by a court or regulator, or by a safeguarding obligation.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data.
6. International transfers
We are based in Singapore. Our clients, and some of our service providers, are located in other countries, both inside and outside the UK and the EEA. Delivering the service by video means your data may also be processed in the country where you are located during the assessment.
Where personal data is transferred across borders, we put safeguards in place. These include standard contractual clauses, reliance on adequacy decisions where they exist, and contractual protections requiring a standard of protection comparable to that under the PDPA and the GDPR.
7. How long we keep your data
Enquiries that do not lead to an assessment. Retained for a limited period, then deleted
Financial records. Retained for the period required by tax and company law.
8. How we protect your data
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and secure platforms, and we limit access to those who need it. Our psychologists and staff are bound by confidentiality obligations. We collect only the data we need for each purpose.
No system can be guaranteed completely secure. If a personal data breach occurs that is likely to affect your rights, we will notify you and the relevant regulator where the law requires it, within the applicable time limits.
9. Video sessions and recording
Assessments are delivered by secure, encrypted video link. We do not record video sessions unless we have told you in advance and obtained your explicit consent. The psychologist records observations, responses and scores as part of the clinical file.
10. Children’s data
Much of our work concerns children. Where an assessment concerns a child, a parent or guardian provides the necessary consent and instructs us. We process a child’s data on that basis and apply additional care to how it is collected, used, stored and shared. A parent or guardian may exercise the data rights set out below on the child’s behalf.
11. Your rights
Under the GDPR, where it applies, you have the right to:
access the personal data we hold about you; ask us to correct inaccurate data; ask us to erase data; ask us to restrict how we use it; object to processing based on our legitimate interests; receive certain data in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.
Our reports are produced by a qualified psychologist. We do not make decisions about you by solely automated means that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
Under the PDPA, you have the right to request access to and correction of your personal data, and to withdraw consent.
Erasure of clinical records is subject to limits. We may be required or entitled to retain certain clinical records after a request, for professional, legal or safeguarding reasons. We will explain if this applies to your request.
12. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website and to understand how it is used. You can set your browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when they are being sent, though some parts of the site may not function properly as a result.

Our website may contain links to other sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date shows the current version. Where changes are material, we will bring them to your attention by an appropriate means.
